Salimah Jones APRN, FNP-C, Best Selling Author and Founder of The Nursing Guide is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years experience in the healthcare industry. With a background that includes nursing education and management, her expertise lies in helping people achieve successful nursing careers.

Salimah entered the nursing field in 2008 as a career changer. She started out as an LPN, then went on to earn her Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees in Nursing. Additionally she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and is a Doctor of Nursing Practice student. Her clinical background includes retail urgent care, pulmonary, sleep medicine, critical care, med-surg, and emergency nursing.

Salimah resides in Hendersonville, TN with her husband and three school-age children. She enjoys traveling, reading, writing, and running. She also has a passion for mentoring aspiring and new nurses.
